Kid Mohair/Wool Combed Top, Set of 5*20g, Maple Tree

Maple trees in fall are a breathtaking sight, transforming the landscape with their vibrant colors.

We carefully chose these hand-dyed combed tops and put them together in set of five (5) that match perfectly! You will be able to use them in a variety of projects where you need to coordinate fibre.

• Composition: 80% kid mohair - 20% wool 
• Weight: 100g (3.5 oz). Set of 5 hand dyed combed tops (5*20g) 
• Colour: Maple Tree (Rust, Plum, Mustard, Khaki, Saddle Brown). Hand dyed in small batches, here at the farm, using professional acid dyes.
• 100% Canadian product: mohair grown on our family farm and wool sourced from Alberta farms. Spun in Alberta (Exotic Fibres)
• It has little to no vegetable matter (VM)
• Care instructions: Hand wash in cold water with a wool wash of your choice . Lay flat to dry.

This combed top is a blend of kid mohair (from our Angora baby goats) and fine wool, Charollais cross Dorset (for added memory to help your garments keep their shape).

It's exquisitely soft and silky to the touch, it feels wonderful! Spinners will love the way it drafts easily and of course you can use it in needle felting, fibre painting or any other crafting ideas. However, I won't recommend to use it in wet felting as I found mohair doesn't felt easily in water.

Yarns spun using this top will have a delicate halo, will be warm, lustrous, exquisitely soft and will work especially well in next-to-the-skin garments thanks to the blend of kid mohair!

The colours are rich, vibrant and will be long lasting. Each combed top is unique due to the process of hand-dyed yarn. You might find some variations of colours between tops and batches. This makes them special, one of a kind.
